Backwards speedometer Adding details will get you have a 91 rs 3.1 5 speed...I hopped on it one day from a stop...the speedometer needle went all the way to the other side of the gauge and stayed there.while driving it will start to move counter clockwise and get up to the 120mph mark ...so I never know how fast I'm going...any clue what the problem is ? ter solution from experts

get your speed sensor checked its probibly dirty and could use a good cleaning or you would need to drop a max of $69 at napa for a new one

Hi there. If the fuel gauge is the only one acting up, its probably a loose or corroded wire on top of the gas tank where the fuel pump sets in. It could also be a loose wire on the back of the gauge, which is easier to get to so you could always check that first by popping off the dash pannel and pulling out the instrument cluster and looking for a broke wire on the back of the fuel gauge. But if I had to bet I would guess its on the other end by the fuel pump. Worse case sinario, maybe a bad sending unit.

The servos in the speedometer go bad a lot in these. You can take a chance with repiar shops on line, or go to a dealer. runs $300 or less
