Question about 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee
IT WAS STICKING IN 1ST AND 2ND GEAR THEN WHEN PAST 40 MPH IT SMOOTHS OUT THEN IN THE MORNING WHEN IN REVERSE IT MAKES A LOUD ROARING NOISE NOW IT WONT MOVE WHEN IN GEAR
I changed the transmission in a 1998 jeep grand cherokee and the reason I changed it was because it stayed in first gear. Upon putting the new one on the gears changed fine but later that day it is back to staying in first gear again. Can anyone please help me with this problem? Is it a fuse, the electronic box, the relay, what?

Check the condition of the tranny oil on the dipstick. If it's black and smelly, the tranny clutches might be worn out. Make sure you have enough fluid in there first. Check the fluid with the car engine running and the tranny in park. The level should be between the 2 marks.
