Question about 1995 Nissan Pathfinder
It seemed like battery was dead, jumped it but that didn't help....went to buy a new battery, got back to truck, tried one more time and it started right up. Another issue is when I turn the truck off, the tone that alerts you to your lights being left on can be heard. When you pull the key out, it stops obviously, but the lights are out and the tone still goes with the key in it. Could there be an issue inside the ignition?
Check the nuetral safety switch on the bottom of the transmission

If the key is in the ignition and the door is open or ajar, the chime alert will sound, although the lights might be off. Ensure door jam switch is working properly. Also have your ignition switch check out.
Check your positive wire from battery to starter? and Check Ground wire also.
If you have an alarm that cuts off the starter, it might be acting up by failing to reset, so that you can start the truck.
