No heat motor that moves door to switch from hot to cold air is not working I plugged a motor that i know works into my vehicle and it would not work either but I can't find a blown fuse in fuse box. is there a nother fuse somewhere.

Dennis, sense I'm not there to actually do diagnostics I'll tell you some things you can check and possibly lead you to the repair that needs to be done. Here we go: (1) Check the coolant level in the radiator. CAUTION: Do this only when the vehicle is cold and has not been driven for a while because of the hot coolant that will burn you when you remove the radiator cap. If the coolant is full, then reinstall the radiator cap because this is not the problem with your heat. (2) Drive the vehicle until it is at operating temperature. Then take your hand and check the heat from the heater core hoses. Both hoses should be to hot to hold, it one hose is to hot to hold and the other only some what warm then you need to try and flush the heater core. If flushing does not work then it will need to be replaced. However if both hoses are to hot to touch then the heater core is OK. (3) NEXT: You'll need to check the Temperature door on the A/C Housing. Move the temp control from hot to cold and see if you hear the door moving or if the air flow changes. One way to know for sure if you have a door problem is to remove the door actuator (Motor) same thing. Then take your hand and move the door manually from hot to cold and see if you have hot air. What was your temp gauge reading on the vehicle when this occured?
It could be a small plastic blend door in the dash that is operated by a small motor that when you turn your switch to hot the door moves to allow the heat from your heater core to be blown through ducts into your cab. Sometimes these can be calibrated sometimes he plastic door brakes. BUT i would start by bringing the vehicle up to operating temp first and checking it then.

I like that you were knowledgeable to check both coolant lines tells me you are getting hot coolant through the heater core next thing to check will be the blend door on the inside of your vehicle. The blend door is a door that switches from cold air duct to heater duct depending on what you are using at the time. If it is stuck on the cold air duct you will not get any heat sometimes these doors are vacuum actuated and sometimes they are electrically actuated most the time you are able to see the movement of the motor from inside if you don't see any movement but you hear it move chances are it is the door blend I hope this helps.

temp control door is stock door motor is bad or control switch is bad ck door motor for movement its hard to see some time you must pull dash to change motors

Take a look under the dash at the heater/ac blend door(s) and cycle hot to cold on he dash heat control while asking for AC and the vehicle running.Do the doors move fully?
You may be able to manually help the door move to get cold air.

Hello and welcome. this is caused by a bad temp door actuator for the drivers temp door. you will need to replace the drivers temp door actuator. this is a electric motor that moves the temp door from cold to hot and hot to cold

Probaly low on freon

System is vacuum controlled check for vacuum at the switch you replaced If it's there then check the blend door motor (moves the "flapper") If motor is good, then the door is stuck and heater box needs to be taken apart. If no vacuum at the switch, work your way back to the engine where vacuum originates to determine where line is broken or disconnected.

I would think the door you hear flapping is the door that controls the airflow across the heater coil - and the fan keeps blowing the door closed, preventing the airflow from going across the heating coil. I don't know whether this vehicle is vacum controlled or cable controlled - so either it's a disconnected cable, or a leaking vacum line.

if the heater hoses going in and out of the heater core are hot, then your temp blend door is not moving to allow heat from the heater core into the car. either the temp knob or blend door motor is bad. some are vacuum, some are electric.
