If you live in a very cold climate, or your cooling mixture is wrong (more water than antifreeze)... It COULD also be that your coolant is frozen. This happened to me just today.

Did you make sure all the air was bleed from the cooling system? to do this jack the car up in the front with a floor jack as high as poss, then fill the coolant recovery tank up, run the engine until it is hot but not overheated, shut the engine down and let it cool, this should purge the air from the system, if the system checks ok then but later starts to act up again the the problem is a leaking head gasket. One last note make sure the recovery tank is refilled, it will **** down.

water pumps are famous at around 80 thousand km I see these give up and quit pumping internally!also the thermostat you changed is it a MOPAR from dealer with a seal with a locking tab and ball bearing on top center these after market ones are just not the way to go! 22 years exp!! with mopar these after market ones just don't seem to bleed air out efficiently enough! you should see your coolant moving around if your pump is working and if you have a air lock due to a replica thermostat good luck bleeding the air out of your cooling system,.QUESTION to you have you any automotive experience as this???[problem you have.

My 2000 neon is overheating, the fan wont come on but i already know to replace the fuse, and i cant find the thermostat, where is it?

be very cautions of over heating becuase it can cause your head gasket to fail and you really don't want that to happen, has happen to me on my 98 neon.
