I cannot find the dipstick on a yaris automatic transmission

does it have an automatic or manual transmission? If it's a manual transmission there is no dipstick. If It's a automatic transmission the dipstick should be located near the firewall of the vehicle where the transmission bolts up to the engine block and usually has a red handle to designate it as the transmission dipstick.

This you will have to do by having the engine running and transmission in park. Pull dipstick out and check were the reading is on the dipstick. If it is low add transmission fluid. only cars with automatic transmission have a dipstick if yours is a automatic look toward the passanger side and would be yellow in color dipstick

I don't know how many models this affects, but I had heard that some manufacturers are no longer putting in a dipstick to check automatic transmission fluid. For example, check the "Tips and Warnings" box (lower center of page) at this web site. Your car may be one of those affected. You can check with a Toyota dealer to be sure.
