My 2007 jeep patriot battery full charge starter solonoid just clicks

You probaably better make sure the engine actually spins, if it died while driving, the starter is not the issue. Put a socket on the crank bolt and see if you can move it

WHAT CONDITION ARE YOUR BATTERY CABLES ? THEY MAY SEEM OK, BUT SOMETIMES REPLACEMENT IS NECESSARY ! BATTERY TERMINALS MUST BE CLEANED, SMEAR SOME VASOLINE ON TERMINALS BEFORE MOUNTING THEM, BESURE TERMINALS ARE TIGHT !!! THE (NEGATIVE) CABLE OR GROUND IS VERY IMPORTANT ! A GOOD CONNECTION IS PARAMOUNT !!! INSPECT STARTER/SOLONOID CONNECTIONS, THEY MUST BE CLEAN, PROPERLY CONNECTED , TIGHT !!! TIGHT IS TIGHT, TOO TIGHT IS BROKE !!! MAKE SURE BATTERY IS IN GOOD,CLEAN CONDITION, FULLY CHARGED !!! YOU DID REPLACE THE STARTER WITH A NEW SOLONOID I HOPE ! ITS THIS ELECTRO-MAGNET THAT INGAGES THE STARTER INTO THE FLYWHEEL TO CRANK THE ENGINE . THEY WORK TOGETHER ! TAPPING ON THE STARTER TELLS ME, POSSIBLE LOOSE CONNECTION, EITHER INSIDE OR OUTSIDE SOLONOID . ALTERNATOR PROBLEM ? TAKE TO AUTOPARTS STORE, HAVE THEM CHECK BOTH THE BATTERY & ALTERNATOR . ITS FREE ! CHECK THE ALTERNATOR BELT FOR WEAR, WHETHER ITS TIGHT, LOOSE, ETC., A WORN OR LOOSE BELT WILL SLIP, NOT ALLOWING THE ALTERNATOR TO DO ITS JOB, CHARGING THE BATTERY !!! ONE MORE THING, ITS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE ENGINE TUNED-UP, ESPECIALLY BOTH AIR & FUEL FILTERS, SPARK PLUGS & PLUG WIRES SHOULD BE REPLACED AS WELL, THEY DO WEAR OUT !!! DISTRIBUTOR CAP & ROTOR NEED ATTENTION ALSO, REPLACE THEM ! BACK TOO YOUR SRARTER/SOLONOID, SOMETIMES EVEN NEW ELECTRICAL PARTS GO BAD, IT HAPPENS ALOT, THEY COME FROM MEXICO, CHINA, ETC., NEED I SAY MORE ???

2002 pontiac bonneville doesn't start. Battery is good and starter is fine but starter doesn't ry to start. No click or anything. Is there a schematic I can look at to trace and find the problem

Look into the neutral safety switch. To test: Foot on break; key in start position and hold it there; shift trans slowly through the neutral range...if you get action, adjust or replace neutral safety switch.

Sometimes, especially on cold mornings, my car won't start. The battery was replaced 1 year ago, and when i brought it to the mechanic, he said there was nothing wrong with it (he checked the alternater...

sounds like a bad starter that acts up in cold temps, you can test for power with a test light, have someone hold the key in the crank position while you test for power at the small wire at the back of the starter, if theres power then replace the starter, i ll almost bet its a bad starter, ive done a few the problem will get worse and worse, hope this helps.

Does a starter on a 72 350 have two larger wires both going to the large diameter center stud and one wire going to the small stud facing toward the block, or should all three studs be used?

you will have 1 main wire going to the solonoid from the battery, another wire going to the alternater on the same terminal. the other thick cable {about an inch long}contact will connect from the solonoid through the housing of the starter to feed power to the actual starter motor, the skinny wire going to the solonoid individual terminal is from the ignition wire. Safe driving.

Sometimes alternater does not charge battery

Drive the car to the auto parts store and have them test the battery and alternator for proper charge.  You probably just bought a dud, even though they are new.  Doesn't happen much but does happen.

Puma wont crank.

Lights dimming a good clue, that means that there is power going to the solonoid but starter moter wont turn. Check all battery connections and starter connections Make sure battery has enough power to turn starter or try jumper cablea.
Sometimes the starter gets jambed up due to poor lube on the bendix. try hitting the housing with a hammer. You can take the starter out and bench rebuild or just replace it its not a hard job,

My starter isnt working. It doesnt click or do anything. The battery has plenty of charge. and the connections are tight and clean. Ive tapped the end with a hammer to ingage the brushes but i get nothing.

im not sure what year your truck is but fords have a starter solonoid on the passenger fender and that is where you need to start to do voltage checks.
