Question about Hyundai Motor 2002 Elantra
The car is not flooded, its not the battery or starter when you press the gas it does not do anything. What is the problem?
The head is aluminum and is possibly warped. you need to do a compression and cly leak down test.
My experience with this problem was cam timing,What happened was the pin that locates the the camshaft pulley to the front cam had sheared and changed cam/crank timing.Timing marks lined up correctly on the pulley/crank but changed camshaft timing.Check that the two square blocks on the back of the cams are facing away from each other and are level with the top of the head where the rocker cover seats
