Question about 2005 Volkswagen Passat
No problems when i went to work this morning, but when I started it up to leave this afternoon, check engine light came on and it is hesitating. wil drive ok until about 40 mph, then the rpm thing sort of revs. and I can't find my manual to boot! HELP!
U need to have codes read that are stored on the cars computer. The engine light on is an indication that something is not operating properly, and u confirm this by your description of the cars performance. U can have the codes checked for free at most car parts stores. The codes are read by a scan tool that is plugged into a port in your car and it reads the stored codes on the cars computer. The stores employees will tell u what the code(s) are, and suggest what should be done to correct the problem. Writer the codes down for future reference. Let me know how u make out.
