Question about 2002 Jeep Liberty
The rear wheel speed sensor may be going bad......the pcm uses it for a speed signal

Had the same problem. Replaced the sensor, but it still did it. My private mechanic looked for a short in the wiring but couldn't find it. Finally broke down and took it to the dealer. They called me 15 minutes after I dropped if off and said that they had found a "fray in the wiring" and had fixed it. I don't know where it is, but the dealerships know about it - just aren't telling. BTW my mechanic had another 02 Liberty come in with the same problem 3 days after the dealer "fixed" mine!
