Do you have a good 12v source of power when cranking at the starter solenoid wire and is that wire intact and on the right terminal?

Battery low ,or a cell shorting the person who tested battery most likely done it with a voltmeter ,well this is no good it must be tested with a heavy duty drop tester that tests the output amperage which is the reserve power not the voltage as evan a duff battery can show 12v .fit a new 74amp hr battery and make sure earth connection from battery to engine is ok .grease the terminals and ensure battery clamp is re fitted.when its running and warmed up a bit disconnect battery and if engine stops then altenator is duff ,with engine running at 1500rpm it should continue running with every electrical thingy turned on. Yes i know a lot of mechanics will say you cant do this ,plug the dammed computer in ??well what did we do 40 yrs ago, wait for bill gates to invent windows i dont think so we evan stripped and repaired starter motors and re brushed dynamos and reset the voltage regulator by the above method .

95 GT mustang wont start

You ran the car out gas and there's air in the system.. Not the Throttle Body.. Expel the air from the system.. 1. Raise/Support your hood.. 2. Turn your key to the ign position, (listen for the fuel pump to come on).. 3. Go to the fuel rail(s) and press the Schrader Valve, (looks like a tire air valve), until only fuel comes out.. (use safety gear, especially for eyes) 4. Rinse/Collect excess fuel before cranking (careful around electrical connections)

My escort overheated so added water then i tried to start the car but it wont start, its cranks but it wont start

need add add antifreeze half antifreeze and water to raise coolant boiling point. replace thermostat and radiator pressure cap.wait until engine cool then try starting it up.depends on how long you drove car when engine over heated.if you turn off engine soon as it over heated no harm done.if you kept on driving and engine die of lack of cooling, and car wont crank you could have blown head gasket warped or cracked cylinder head.

My 95 Ford Escort wont start, changed ignition module, ignition coil pack, crankshaft position sensor...if I change the computer will it have to be reprogrammed ? Trying to figure this out ran beautiful as...

I would listen for the fuel pump(take the gas cap off and listen for the buzz when someone turns the key on), if no buzz or whine then have them crank the engine. If still no noise then take a hammer and hit the middle of the gas tank while the car is being started(make sure E-brake is applied)If it starts it's your fuel pump.

Escort starting problems

Hey Tam_kc71!

The catalytic converter is very notorious in going out on Fords of any year or make - No rotten eggs smell nothing - They will go out. Get that checked and I bet that is your problem. Not that hard to replace yourself.
