How do I switch off the airbag in the passenger seat (to enable use of baby seat) ?

Personally i would never put a baby in a front passenger seat of a car fitted with an air bag. On saying that, there should be a key hole to turn the airbag off, using the ignition key. where this is situated should be on the centre dash between the seats or at the side of the dash near the pass side of the vehicle. A light should illuminate when the airbag is off to warn you that it is Disconnected/off. your owners manual should shed some light on this. Failing that stop off at ANY audi dealer and they will tell you.

Wife has just had baby need to turn off passenger airbag on jaguar 2004 s type ,how do i do it

First, i dont think having the baby in the front seat is a good idea, the baby should be in the rearseat,to turn off the airbag you will need to have the dealer do this, this is not a simple job, they just dont unplug it, rather there a wiring harness and switch and module that need to be wired in, if the pass/side air bag was disabled incorrectly then none of the sirbags would operate in a crash, hope this helps,

How do i turn off my passenger airbag in my ford focus zetec so my new baby can sit in the front?

You need to leave this one to the dealer as there is no key switch in this model like most GMs have. It is very dangerous working with the airbag system if you are not trained as the propellants used border on being explosive.

Beyond this, it is still a bad idea to put the baby in front unless absolutely necessary as the rear seat provides better protection.

Cant find keyhole or switch to turn my airbags off in my mazda 6

The airbag system in this car is second generation smart airbags, there is no switch, if the weight in the passenger seat is not at least 50 pounds (there is a sensor in the seat cushion) the airbag is switched off to the paassenger seat, but small children should always be in a approved child seat in the back seat anyway.

Well, for one you not suppose to put a baby seat in the front of the car. But anyways with an older airbag control system like that you cannot just disable one airbag, if you unplug the passenger side airbag then in an accident neither airbags will deploy.

Children in car seats should never be put in the front seat.  In fact children under the age of 13 should never be in the front seat.  Their bodies are not large enough or strong enough to sustain the impact of a crash or an airbag.  For your baby's safety and your peace of mind it'd be best for you to keep your baby in the rear seat and get a mirror for the back seat to see what's going on.
