2006 Armada tire pressure shows stars

Yesterday, my screen said to check one of the tires for a flat. One of them was low, so I put more air. The check flat sign went away, but now the second tire in the list (the one which was low) just shows stars. I have checked the air and turned the car on and off multiple times, but the computer will not read that tire. Is there any way to reset it?

I am in cold weather. Never had a problem since I bought my '05 this summer. Today, the light went off and said one of mine was flat and to check. They all looked fine to me visually. Just one tire. Drove for 10 miles and monitored the tire pressure. After driving, the pressure climbed up like normal after warming up. Two front read the same and the two rear read the same. Yet, the light did not clear. How do I reset this without taking it to the dealer?

I was able to clear mine but checking the COLD AIR temperature on the door sill. It was higher than what it was telling me on the display. I bumped up the PSI to match the COLD AIR temp. Drove around for about 5 minutes and it cleared itself. For everyone else having this problem, try that first before going to the dealer. The cold air temp for me was 35 psi.

If the tire gets low enough to set a flat tire code, simply putting air in the tire won't clear the light. The dealer will have to clear the light for you. If you are really nice and tell the service advisor that you just need the light cleared they will likely do it for free.

2006 Pacifica & the (!) light is on and says service tire system soon..1 tire low pressure. I put new tires on it yesterday and the light hasn't gone off. Could it be because I don't have a spare

If you had tires installed and light stayed on it is possible not having spare but normally the tps sensor (tire pressure sensor) or tpm tire pressure monitor or it got damaged when new tires got installed.

My tire pressure indicator light is blinking continuously. What's wrong?

Your tires are low on air pressure

Your spare is never checked for air

Your TPMS Sensors in the wheels have failed

A tire store would be a good place to resolve that

I have a 2006 VW Passat and the Low Tire Pressure light came on. I put air on the tires and the light went off but it came back on the next day.

Check the tire pressure again, including the spare. It's quite possible that you have a tire with a slow leak that may need to be repaired. Hope this helps.

My 2006 tacoma the low air pressure light is on I put air in all the tires and pressed the odometer button to try and reset the computer but it did not work.

the odometer button has nothing to do with the tires. After you set the tires to the correct pressure, it should go off by itself., sometimes it takes a while, few miles. Be sure to check the spare. some trucks have a sensor there, you will be able to look at it and tell if it has a sensor by the construction of the valve stem. If all tires are good, and the light does not go off, the dealer will need to check it out. You say you put air in, but not what pressure. The pressure spec is on the drivers door jamb. I would go 2 psi more than the sticker.

On my 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe, the low tire pressure light come on after a few miles. The actual tire pressures are good.

The 5th tire is your spare. There is recorded case of the 5th (spare tire) is at low pressure.

Check your spare tire air pressure. Keep it between 33-36psi.

My front tires look low. Tires just 1 year old but don't want to go "pay" for check. I have a gauge and can use it. BUT WHAT is the pressure for my car? Label under gas lid is gone.

For most tires the recommended pressure is around 35 psi (sae sorry I don't know metric) Without the label what i can recommend is to take the pressure of the back 2 tires, average the pressure and then put the front tires at that pressure. If they still look low add air at about 2lb increments just enough to make sure the tread is flat and square. Make sure all tires are at equal pressure. If the front tires continue to go low spray the tires gently with soapy water looking for air bubbles. It will show a leak if there is one and then you can have your tire repaired for less than the cost of a tire. Good luck.

Why does it show the message: LOW TIRE PRESSURE

there is a tire pressure sensor on each tire check the air pressure on each tire and recalibrate the system each time you put air in any of the 4 tires or if any of the tire gets low air.Its like teaching the system on the present tire air pressure. One thing more the valve on each tire are special valve that have electronic part inside so make sure you dont replace them with an ordinary tire valve.Recalibrating shld be done on workshops with the proper tool

Display showing spare low pressure, what does this mean ?

That means the air pressure in your spare tire is low. Check your owners manual for the location of the spare tire and add some air to in it. Or, have a shop add air to it.

How to reset flat tire light

Are you talking about the low air pressure light? Make sure there is atleast 35 lbs in each tire, turn the car off, and then turn it on, the light should go off.
