We checked all the wiring under the hood and replaced the lamps but
couldn't duplicate the problem. We ended up replacing the Headlamp
switch in the dash. the theory is that when the current was passing
through the switch the terminals would heat up and break contact
causing lights to go out. no evidence of arcing on the terminals but
lights haven't blinked since.

Don't buy expensive headlight cleaners or new headlights. Get yourself a can of Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish.
Grab a rag and polish your plastic lenses with a generous helping in a circular motion and buff with a clean cloth. You can make them look like glass in a matter of minutes.

Raise the headlights using the pop-up switch.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Unfasten the retaining screws, then remove the upper and the lower headlight bezels.
Remove the headlight retaining ring screws, and the headlight retaining ring.
Pull the headlight partially out, detach the connector, then remove headlight assembly from the vehicle.
first open headlight box and remove the bulb and check by tester power supply (DC power supply ) Is coming there or not if its coming and bulb wont work then its problem in bulb if supply is not coming till headlight then check fuse box and other connector i think there any fuse is broken that's why headlight is wont working . change fuse after that headlight will work again
