Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette
My ac/hc controlspeedis only work on 4 and 5. please tellme what part it goes bad?thank
Had same problem on my 2000 Silhouette. The heater blower resistor block was burned out for fan speeds 1-3. This can be confirmed by disconnecting connector and using a checking continuity with VOM. The block is located behind the blower housing (just above the passenger's feet). Had to drop the blower motor to ease access. Resistor block is held in with three small screws, the back one can be a challenge - a small stubby or flex- shaft driver helps. Resistor block cost about $55 at dealer (more robust resistor pack than OEM). Haynes manual describes R&R fairly well.
