Question about 1998 Plymouth Breeze

1996 Plymouth Breeze Check Engine Light is on

We recently purchased a used 96 Plymouth Breeze about 2 weeks ago. It drove good for a week but one day the car didn't want to change gears and it kept going back into neutral. So we ended up taking it to get serviced and found out it was the front seal of the transmission and it had to be replaced. So we had it replaced and they had to take the engine and transmission out. Now about 3 days later the check Engine Light comes on. What can be causing this?

Bring it back to them they could have left a wire off or pinched a wire when replacing the engine

Check battery and see if it can be fully charged. If there is an indicator on the battery it should be green or measure the voltage with the engine off and see if it is close to 12Vdc. If the battery tests good there could be a problem with the electrical wiring or a bad device that draws current when the car is off. Glove box light gould be on, trunk light stays on etc...

I fail to see how you do not believe you have a
failed battery,the used one

Buy a new battery with the correct Group Size for the
car & at least 700 CCA rating

Napa top of the line with NO Caps on top, would be a
good choice

Look on napa web site.they are made by Penn Battery

BAT 8475 690 CCA $112.37

I put put my key in the ignition and turn it and my car does not make a sound. My car was good like a week ago and i haven't drove it in a few weeks Can you tell me the problem?

It don't do a Click sound ? A bad connection or Starter problem, take an hammer or a pipe and tap it on the starter and try it, it should work, if you need to do that everytime, replace starter !

Plymouth Breeze 1998 ... no heat.... "check engine" light

He's givin you the truth and nothing but the truth those are all symptoms of a blown head gasket wich is usually a pretty pricey job. I guess you need a final price and then weigh out whether its more economical for you to save it or replace it. It Happens Good luck.
p.s If you keep it make sure the entire cooling system is flushed to prevent further problems
