Question about 2004 Mercury Sable
When my wife starts her 2004 Merc Sable, all of the warning lights in the dash stay on. I've driven the car for a few days as we swapped so she would be safe in my Volvo. The car runs fine and I've checked all of the connections, hoses and everything that is visible and I can find no problems there. I'm thinking that maybe its a malfunction in the car's puter or there's a short somewhere? Electrical problems in cars are not my forte. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
I have this same exact problem in my 2004 Mercury Sable. It seems that it causes scrapping noise in my engine though aswell. I have had it for a few months and I fix it but turning the car off after a minute or two and just restarting it. That seems to fix it but it's progressivly gotten worse.

this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating
that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must
now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and
"scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the
Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Antilock brake system.TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module
