I have the same problem with my the front right tire indicator on our 07' ES 350.  The first month we had the car the light went off.  It has gone off at least 4 - 5 times in the last year and it's the same front tire.  The dealer has reset the sensor at least 3 times.  So we took the car into a different Lexus dealership and they said it was the sensor in the spare tire?  Even though we kept adding air to the front right tire and the light went off, they still stood by that spare tire sensor.  Is there any truth to this and why would Lexus put a sensor in a spare tire?

I purchased my '07 Lex ES350 brand new in july, '07. It has 5,800 miles on it to date. The low tire pressure warning light came on 7 weeks ago so, I did the proper "cold tire inflation" pressure as recommended by my owner's manual. Haven't lost any pressure in any of the tires within the past 7 weeks. I read the owner's manual to find out exactly how to turn off/reset the Tire Pressure warning light. After 16 attempts (some in different ways), I called my dealership (the one that I purchased the car from) and they just said to bring it in. I really don't want to as it is far away from me! Is there anything else on God's green Earth I can do/try to resolve this?!?!!!
    Thank you-----------

I can't find the reset button. The diagram in my manual doesn't match the car. Anybody have a helpful hint of where to find it? My car is 2 years old, bought it new and have not had this problem until now. I had the oil changed (not by the dealer this time) and they messed something up when they checked my tire pressure. One tire was over-inflated and that put everything out of wack.

Okay, this is one of those cars...I have been told by a customer at a fueling station I worked at that she had this same issue - little was she told at the dealership about this as well...when you have a bad tire on these vehicles, and the light comes on - not sure why, but it is said that one must replace all tires in order for this light to be turned off - personally I think that's a myth, therefore I suggest taking it to the dealership of purchase (if applicable) and inquire with them. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

As far as there being a sensor in the spare tire - again a myth - 1. what good would a sensor do on a tire not installed? 2. When installing these tires, the sensors are mounted near the tire (not in or on them) which detects the air pressure as it's turning, and as it's sitting in place. I could be wrong about this - but - if you think about it ... but... if one would really want to know, the best way would be to contact the manufacturer, not the dealership. This may take a while to get a response, however you have a better chance of getting the right answer.

Make sure all tires including your spare have tire pressure between 34 and 38 lbs if the tire pressure is not between 34 and 38 the tire light will not go off

I have this problem every winter at the first cold spell when the tire pressure in the spare changes (gets low). I spoke to the dealer and he confirmed it is low tire pressure in the spare. Now I add tire to the spare and the light automatically goes out. But you have to really get the spare full for it to turn off.

When our first cold front of the year arrived in Florida, all four tires needed air. Upon completion of filling the four tires, the low tire pressure light was still on. The SPARE tire was ignored and upon filling it with air, the light went off..remember the tire in the Trunk!!!

The air pressure setting may need reset. If there is no information in the owner's manual, I would look for some help on the Lexus owners website.

Suggestion: If pressure is correct, with ignition switch on, press and hold the Tire Pressure Warning Reset Button. This should cancel the warning light. Let us know if that doesn't work.

I had this because I dropped off one tire, and put the spare on, at the tire store to get a new one... I tried to reset, I think the instructions are in the manual, but are somewhat confusing as I recall (it seems you can have more than one set of tires programmed to the system, and switch between them) but as soon as I got back the 5th tire, everything was fine after. It happened again, but this time it was low pressure on one tire, it probably has a slow leak cause I filled it at the light went off, but came on again a couple weeks later

Some Lexus cars equipped w/ spare tire pressure sensor, check pressure there as well. In my car it was 28, now 33 and indicator turned off.

2008 Lexus ES 350 low tire pressure warning light

1) go to a gas station with an air pump. Unless u have an inflator/compressor at home with the tireattachment

2) lower all 5 air pressures including the spare in the trunk to maybe about 28 PSI

3) now reset the TPMS (on the 07 there is a button to "calibrate" the TPMS and it is located under the dash. I presume it is the same on the 08.)

4) now bring the pressue back up to 30/32 or whatever it says on the door area

If this doesn't work, it is possible u have a defective TPMS
but my bet right now would be that someone "calibrated" the TPMS to the current tire pressure so the light is constantly on. It happened to me before when my daughter was messing around and hit that button.

Abs /vsa light on

A direct-sensing type Tire pressure warning system is used in TPMS
If the vehicle continues to be driven with 1 or more of the 4 inflated to a low air pressure that could cause problems during driving, this system will illuminate the tire pressure warning light to inform the driver of the low air pressure.
In addition to that, this system directly senses the air pressure of each Tire through Tire pressure warning system valve & transmitter that are attached to each wheel.
Before you could proceed you are required to please retrieve the error codes and freeze frame data to get to know about the problem.

Hello, It sounds like you have a bad sensor. If you put air in tire and have not driven the car the drive it first (about three miles) The sensors are part of the valve steam. To activate them you have to drive the car.

How does one remove warning for low tire pressure on 2007 Lexus RX400h (Metal caps still in pocket, so that may be issue)

Are all tires at correct pressure? Some of the cars also use one in the spare tire. if the spare has a tire valve like the other 4 tires it has a sensor.

07' mitsu. endeavor. what is the warning light on the lowest right hand corner of the dash. it looks like an upsidedown half circle with a jagged line as the bottom of it and an exclamation point inside of...

This sounds like the low tire pressure warning light. The tires have small sensors on the back side of each valve stem that monitor your tire pressure. I live in the northeast and when the temperature really drops I get the same light. Usually once you get rolling the friction of the tire on the road heats up the air in the tire causing it to expand to it's proper pressure. You may want to check your pressures to ensure that they are inflated properly.
