Question about 2000 Subaru Legacy
2000 Hyundai Accent 1.5L manual transmission with about 81000 miles. Last tank of gas I got 35.5 mpg. The most pronounced problem is at idle, when I stab the gas pedal, the car will stumble, but not die. If I take off from a stoplight, it stumbles also. If I am rolling at a traffic light and try to continue through the light but in second gear, the car will buck as if it isn't getting enough gas. The car has died several times lately. I have replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, the Mass Air flow sensor, the idle control valve and the fuel filter. Check engine light is on, and it reads P1123. The car is very reliable, but it seems like the more things I try, the more pronounced the problem becomes. PLEASE HELP!

Winter time driving does reduce the MPG due to temp not allowing the fluids to warm to thinner viscosity allowing parts to operate with less friction. Hope this eases you a bit. Have a good day.

i would agree with your diagnosis. i had a similar problem with a crown victoria. disconnecting the maf sensor made it run better. i replaed the sensor and have had no problem since
