I cleaned the air intake and sprayed in the buterfly still have the problem. I did noticed a high pitch noise in the back of the car for what appears to be the fuel pump. I will be replacing it over the weekend.

Clean out the Idle Control valve. remove the air duct from the aircleaner system. spray directly into the valve opening. it is a small component with 2 small hoses . Sludge build up and oil deposits will dirty the valve. If that does not work you can remove it and spray directly into the 2 holes on the underside of the valve. Clean the air filter or replace it.if that is not it, then it is probably the EGR valve.

It is the fuel pump. I am a ASE master tech who owns the above referenced vehicle and have had the same problem and have fixed many with the same. Nissan will fix, free of charge, up to 60,000 miles. Contact me at mrgorrilla@aol.com with any questions.

It is the cam position sensor, very big problem on most altimas esp 2005, call a dealer first because it has been recalled or if in a hurry its 35 bucks and easy to replace.one 10mm bolt in it on the right side of the head.

Having trouble with starting. most times is starts

Problem most likely won't go away, and it could strand you and cost a lot more to have towed.

The fuel pump can be tested by a competent mechanic.

Don't throw parts @ it hoping to fix it. Google your issue and do some research, you may find the answer online.

A common problem on this vehicle is failure of the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor. Failure of the CKP Sensor will result in the vehicle not starting. The cost to repair the CKP Sensor is estimated at $29.13 for parts and $26.00 for labor.
