Not too difficult. open trunk, remove the lining behind the light assembly. plastic pins pop off with a screwdriver. pull lining back, and you'll see the wiring and two lug nuts to be removed. once removed pull light assembly from the outside. its a large section, work off, not too difficult to pull off. remove the bad bulb, reverse the process to assemble.

Evaluate how to access your blown bulb. A lens cover might need to be removed before you are able to make the change.

My 2004 maxima rear lights dont work but brake lights do can it be a fuse or the bulb

Could be either one. I'd start by checking the fuse, and if it is okay then checking the bulb. Both sides could have the bulb go out at the same time, but it is more likely the fuse, and the brake lights work off a different circuit. Hope this helps. Good luck :O)

Change brake light . How to get at bulb ? Driver side brake light is burned out . I need to replace it . How do I get to the bulb ?

open trunk and pull back carpet around light. Remove 2 nuts, then the tail light needs to be pulled out because it is held in by a clip that can be snug at times. Once out you have access to all lights on that side.

Replace center back brake light

If you slightly wiggle and pull back on it then it should release from the two metal prongs and it has one plug to remove from it and the replacement bulb should be #1156

How do you change out the brake light bulb on a 2007 Maxima

Open the trunk, on the inner part of the actual trunk door, locate the side of where you want to replace the brake light bulb, and probably have to unscrew the mount with a screwdriver and then the bulb will be easily removed.

2004 nissan maxima rear bulb replacement??

There is a plastic cover on the lens that covers the screws that hold the lamp on to the body. CAREFULLY pry the cover off to access screws, remove the screws and CAREFULLY pry the lens off. Replace bulb(s) reinstall after checking to see if bulbs are in fact working.
