Question about 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS CVT Sedan
I found the two screws under the trunk, but i cant figure out how to get the other side out
After removing the two screws, you have to grab both sides of the tail light housing and wiggle the housing out by rocking it left and right while GENTLY pulling it away from your body. You absolutely MUST be careful when doing this because if you use excessive force, you risk cracking the housing and even damaging the wiring.
I have already chipped the corner on BOTH of my housings when attempting to remove them. I had to super glue the pieces back on. It was not a happy moment.

07+ lancers you must remove the trunk side liners to remove the tail lights. its a pain in the but because you have to fold down the back seat then remove the liner. If you have a de model you should remove the back seat or you might damage the liner pulling it out.
