I just changed head gasket of a 96 2.3 engine. Had head surfaced. Engine runs good but has oil leak on right side of engine- looks like under thermostat housing. It is running down crossmember on to exhaust leaving puddles on ground, any idea? Head is dry, valve cover is not leaking. Checked oil filter, checked oil sending unit all dry. Not leaking coolant.installed new raditor, thermostat all new gaskets.

I have check steering and a/c. Leak is on back side of engine firewall side under throttle body I lost one and half quarts of oil in one hour of running. Have car on jack stands and hard to see were oil coming from.
THE TAPPET COVER WAS CLEANED PROPERLY AS WELL AS THE CILINDER HEAD AND A NEW ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TAPPET COVER GASKET FITTED BUT IT STILL LEAKS FAIRLY BADLY FOM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM DOWN THE ENGINE SIDE
HEAD GASKET HAS BEEN REPLACED
