Drivers side door control panel and automatic locks won't work
This is the second time this has happened the first time I did nothing to fix it and one day it started working again. The other doors' windows work in the car. the drivers side door controll panel is iluminated so it is getting power. My car is a Hyundai XG350 if anybody has any ideas about what to try to fix this or Knows a good type of repair shop that would know how to fix it correctly, that would be a great help.
Re: Drivers side door control panel and automatic locks...
Either your not getting power to the window motor, or the motor is shot, Check with a good body shop, dealer, or your favorite mechanic. If you don't want to spend several hundred dollars and the window is up, leave it alone or repair as needed.

Some vehicle locking systems allow a single button press to unlock the driver's side door and require a second button press to unlock the passenger side door. Likewise, use of the key to unlock the driver's side door does not automatically unlock the passenger side.
Relays & fuses will be my first choice, but sometimes age and wear kils electronic switches, my next advice woul be your driver side control side panel inside the panel at the door may carry fuses or relays or the control panel switch may be faulty itself chec your repair book for your automobile.
The relay is working fine if the automatic locking system is working. The module for the automatic door locks has a circuit to lock the doors upon shifting the vehicle to drive. The circuitry has a relay built into it that unlocks the doors when parked so that module is not fuctioning properly for the unlocking mode
Just did this procedure I got from coloradofans.com forums:
"any type of power/voltage change
seems to trigger this issue
The most common symptom is power
locks fail and only the driver window quits, however that is on the
Steps to fix and it works every time.
door panel off driver's door Disconnect the wiring attached to window
and power lock control unit disconnect battery cables connect
the negative to the positive cable(((NO BATTERY CONNECTED))) This
will act to short residual voltage in the system
5 minutes later place
the key in the ignition and turn to the run position connect the
wiring to the window/lock controller connect the negative cable to
the battery then the positive open drivers side door turn key
to the off position((do not remove yet)) you should get a series of
dings through speakers telling you the key is still in the ignition once
it begins dinging pull the key out and you should hear the door lock
solenoids trigger and the windows should work." - Coloradofans.com forums
hello bryon.. the best and cheapest way to start is to replace the battery in the key fob (remote), then lock and unlock the vehicle remotely 5-7 times, then monitor for further malfunction...if so........was vehicle in gear when doors lock? is it locking while braking? are there any children pushing buttons? get back to me if this doesnt help...marty
