when you have the headlights on the indicators don't work. Also sometimes the indicators flash really fast or really slow

a bit of useful information has led me in the right direction.

the problem was a bad connection to the left rear tail lights. suggest if someone has a similar problem that the have someone in the car with the lights and indicators, including brake, and chech all connections, by disconnecting the plug in blocks and reconnect.

To change a front indicator bulb, you will need the bonnet open. Before
touching any electrical parts it is always a good idea to disconect the
negative to avoid short circuiiting anything. Reach behind the
indicator unit, and twist the bulb holder. It should then pull out. To
gain access to the bulb holder you may have to remove other items,
depending on which model you have. Once this is done, the bulb can be
twisted and then removed. Replace with a new bulb, put the bulb holder
back in the indicator unit and test to see if it works.

To change a rear indicator bulb, open the boot lid and unscrew the
two screws in the light lense. The lense will now pull straight of and
you will have access to the bulbs. Twist the bulb and pull it out from
the unit. Replace with a new bulb, screw the lense back on and test to
    see if it works.

Hi, I have found the problem and it is fairly easy to fix.

If you take the indicator out you will see a little connection box where the alarm and indicator wire come together. Open this little box (you need to take the indicator out and work on this outside the engine bay). Take the wires out and renew that connection. This will resolve the problem. The Peugeot solution was to put in a non water proof connection box resulting in coroded wires over the years.

    Hey ,

DO check the battery as well. And it seems that the wires has been intermingled. U must be aware that the connection frrom indicators and also from lights goes to the circuit sensor ( Might be just near the steering )....and uaually that happens if one of the connections are loose. Try to fix that and i hope this wld solve ur issue as well.

My ABS and TRAC light came on at the same time

Are you asking why both lights come on at the same time to indicate that those functions are not operational? That is because traction control uses the ABS sensors to operate. If one (or more) of the sensors are bad/not reporting properly, it shuts off both ABS and Traction Control. If you went over a bump or other irregular surface, that could confuse the system and set a fault that could be reset when you restart the car. If it is a more permanent failure where the warning lights stay on after the car is restarted, someone will need to perform a diagnostic procedure to find the fault.

When appling brakes i sometimes hear grinding and ticking noise and abs light is on

A grinding noise is usually an indication that the brake pads are worn out. You may also have a defective wheel bearing causing this noise and in turn can cause the ABS light to come on due to poor sensor contact. Have the brakes and bearings inspected soon to avoid unnecessary costly repairs.

Oil light comes on when i slow down or idle

If you don't believe that your idle is irregular and lower than normal, you may want to check the oil level. The indicator is for low oil pressure which can happen when the engine is about to stall or if the oil level is low.

What is the problem when the ABS WARNING LIGHT COMES ON

When the car is moving and if there is change of RPM in one of the wheels the ABS will indicate the problem of wheel slipping and so apply the brakes to correct them to equalize so that there is no SKID.
Now if there is any malfunction also like a faulty sensor on the wheels or while accelerating there can be a mismatch in RPM, the lights can come on.
Cleaning the wheels , cleaning sensors might help to clean any of the irregular detection problems.

Hi, my tyre pressure sensor came on indicating a puncture? I have felt the tyres over a 3 hr period, but no tyres are going soft. Could it be the sensor?

Try to inflate each tire to the same pressure and run it. If the light comes on after clearing it, then it could be a bad wheel speed sensor circuit.

But, be warned, that the car will sense even slight pressure irregularities over several miles based on wheel speed sensor data.

I would scan the code anyways just to be sure. It could be a 60,000 mile emission reset.

ABS light flashes on dash

As far as the dome lights and the fuse they run on or where they are located I do not know. I would say check under the driver instrument panel, or under the hood on the left side ( as you are looking at it). It is highly likely that the lights run on one circuit. Your anti lock brake light is another matter altogether. When that light comes on it is because the sensor beside the brake has indicated an irregularity with the brakes that could impact braking performance in the event of a sudden stop. Most brake shops do a free brake check so if you are a do it yourselfer then you can discover the problem with that option

My mechanic in our town did a quick computer check. Car computer indicated a low level of antifreeze, he topped it up, cleared all messages off the car computer and said to watch the the heat guage for any further irregularities. I'll keep an eye on it, love the car, great mileage fun to drive.
