Question about 2000 Ford Focus
Ford Focus 2001:
My car won't turn over at all. I was driving and all of a sudden the car felt like it was hit from behind, I assume this is when it stalls. The car turned off but dashboard lights came on. I could no longer accelerate but kept moving until the momentum I had stopped. When I put the key into the ignition, I can turn the key once, but not a second time (as if to rev the engine). There's no turn over. We tried jumping the car, didn't work. Found that we had a severly burnt out fuse (the one for the engine) but aren't sure how it happened. We've ruled out that its not a battery problem.
Sorry without having the jam jar in front of me to look for the faults iam only assuming the timing belt has broke but it could be something else so i would suggest calling out a mobile mechanic or towing vehicle to ford main dealer
