The brake light fuse for this 1992 Lincoln continental is located in the fuse box located on the driver side of the dash. You will need to look under the dash on driver side. i have enclosed a picture diagram of the fuse box and i have circled the brake light fuse. This fuse is in slot location # 1 and uses a 15 amp fuse. hope this is helpful. any other problems let me know, good day.
There is a separate switch for the third brake light.
Put on your flashers to ensure that your brake lights are working.
Then first look on your gas pedal linkage to locate the brake light switch.

First check that the bleeder screw and the bleeder hole in the brake cylinder are not blocked. If these are clear check that the flexible pipe to that wheel has not collapsed internally and created a non-return valve. Check also the brake pressure equaliser valve that it has not jammed and that the operating lever moves freely (although this would affect both rear wheels unless it is a cross-over brake system). If none of the above help, follow the brake pipe from the left rear wheel and loosen connections till you bet a flow of fluid when the pedal is depressed, then work back from there to locate the blockage.
You will probably need to replace the brake lines. You should do this soon as the constant pressure will cause the rotor to heat warp. You should replace both brake lines to prevent future problems.
check at the proportioning valve--some have a pin that sticks out from the side, when bleeding the brakes try to push that pin back in. But first check to see why this happened--fluid leak to rear wheels, brake hoses cracked and air getting into the system??????
Have you check the brake switch on the peddle arm? There is a switch at the bootom of the dash with a button, when you push the brake it allows the button stem to extend out witch activates the brake lights.
