Won't start. Changed spark plugs, distributer cap, and rotor clip, still won't start.. it seems like it isn't getting any fuel. I really dont know what it is thats wrong with it.

yes it has spark. i dont know like 150 to 160 thsnd miles. yeah i'd say its different but im not for sure because its never not started right up. Just recently replaced the clutch. no it hasn't been serviced since i've had it. and yes the engine light has been on since i've had it.

Need to ask some questions. does it have spark at the plugs? how many miles on it? does the engine crank with different sound than normal? if it has spark, spray couple good blasts of ether inside air snorkel and see if it fires. has the timing belt been serviced? has the engine lite been on?

try the ether in the air snorkel. if you can pull off the top timing belt cover, have someone crank the engine and see if it all turns. were the spark plugs black or wet with gas? ill help the best i can but may be process of elimination diagnosis

fuel filter or a fuel pump could also be plugs, wires, cap and rotor I would try fuel filter first then take a plug off a cylinder and hold it close to screw driver or something(dont hold unless have rubber to grip to please dont get shocked) if it doesnt spark your not getting spark and try plugs wires cap and rotor if it does spark then open gas lid have someone turn ignition switch on and listen if you here the fuel pump is still good if not replace it. It does sound like a fuel pump

is it getting gass if u got spark to the plug's it should start.dump alittle gas down carb or throttle body making sure to replace air cleaner or snorkle and try and start.if starts could be fuel pump.

Toyota 4runner sr5 won't start its getting gas and spark.

Sounds like the problem is beyond your ability to diagnose

Too much fuel could be a leaking fuel injector or fuel pressure
regulator.

Too much gas & a no start isn't really the issue

Did it start & run before you did the wires,I would check your work
& mark the wires with a pen & also have diagram on paper before
you start a job like that. Especially when if you have no reference
material.

You put a mechanical fuel pressure gauge on a running engine
& the apply vacuum with a hand pump to regulator to watch for
pressure change,eg: pump pressure vs: regulator press

Won't start fuel pump replaced new tank and relay have fuel after fuel filter runs if I put fuel down throttle body. this is on a4,3.

Nephew had similar problem on different vehicle - had spark to plugs, limited gas, everthing else checked. I did one thing first - check for two fuel filters - one in the tank was only screens and one in the line itself. Found a little in line filter just outside of engine compartment under car next to frame that looked like it had never been changed - partially clogged - replaced it.Almost ran but would not keep running. I had rotor and cap pulled - found that the screw holding rotor in place was loose. The rotor edge next to plug wire leads was chopped up and the cap's plug wire leads were heavily oxidized. Replaced them and got it running but a little rough. Pulled the spark plugs and found gaps from 25 - 100 ---replaced the plugs with correct gapping and it ran really well.

Am not getting spark in my 1991 olds cutlass ciera. what could it be? for a week it would start sometimes, and the next time it won't start again. now it won't start at all. checked a plug...

have you checked the distributor cap and rotor because the spark has to come from these two things first and should be replaced when they get bad so please make sure when you check the distributor cap that you use a permanant black marker on the side of distributor cap and where it was placed at so you know the same place you took it off. If you take off the distributor cap and it shows the connections inside showing black on them that this is your problem and all distributors get bad because they become worned out by the rotor inside wear. If the distributor and cap are clean or do not have any black stuff on them that it could be the coil that went bad too so its a trouble shotting by looking at first the distributor cap and rotor. If you know how to use a multimeter and have one handy that you can check how much voltages is coming through the spark plug wires.

Truck wont crank. we have put new distributor cap, rotor button, coil pack, plugs, wires, and fuel pump. we also checked our firing order.

you said you repl dist cap that means you don't have a crank sensor you have electronic ing module. remove your elec ing module have it tested most auto parts stores could test your module, or check your coil at the neg terminal. should have power. if not you lost your primary volt from your batt.your secondary power is coming from your electronic ing module from the module to the pos terminal on the coil, when the eng cranks, from the coil to the dist cap , from the dist cap center to the rotor then out to the plugs, this all happen pervided the timing belt or timing chain is ok. the cumbustion chainber needs 3 things , thats fuel, air, and spark.

My `93 subaru legacy 2.2 turns over but won`t start

Could be as simple as a new rotor and distributer cap. As the rotor and contacts inside the cap wear, it will take more and more revolutions to get it to catch.
