My 2001 chevy monte carlo keeps popping the power steering hose! I don't know whats wrong with it!

Wild guess, there is an internal power steering pump pressure relief valve that is stuck or not operating properly and the pressure is going way above the rated capacity of the hose. May need a new power steering pump. Who is changing your hose? Some chance the hose is not rated for the pressures being developed by the pump.

Power steering hose diagram

power steering hoses run from pump to the steering box, (high pressure) and from the steering box to pump (low side).. is a closed connection. pump to box, then from box back to pump. High pressure should have pressed on fittings, while low side may have normal water hose clamps or replaceable hose without pressed on fittings.

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0996b43f80cb3bdbFollow your power steering hoses to your steering and disconnect and use a container to catch fluid, you can also loosen hoses at pump and put towel over hole and blow out line to get all fluid out, make sure when you blow , the other end is secure and fluid doesn't go every where, good to have another person helping. Here's a link on how to bleed.

Can a non powered steering 87 toyota p/u be changed to power stee

It can be done, but you would need to replace the rack and pinion, obtain the power steering hoses, the power steering pump, bracket and belt, from the same year, same motor pick up.

My 2006 chevy impala has a massive power steering fluid leak, so my power steering goes out. This problem is solved when there is fluid in the system. Do i need to replace the entire power steering pump?...

you just need to check your steering pipes and hoses for any leaks. just replace them if a leak is found. if your reservoir itself has a leak, then your only best bet is to replace the whole ting ..

Power steering fluid

Just regular power steering fluid from the part store or Dexron3 Automatic Trans fluid. It is filled with ATF from the factory.

1985 chevy pickup power steering belt

IF YOU LOOK CLOSE YOU ARE PROBABLY MISSING THE NUT ON THE VERY BACK OF THE PUMP. USUALLY HARD TO GET TO. YOU USUALLY HAVE A PIVOT ADJUSTMENT FROM THE FRONT SIDE (TOP), A SLIDER ADJUSTMENT IN THE 9 O'CLOCK POSITION FRONT SIDE, AND ANOTHER SLIDER ADJUSTMENT ON THE BACK.
