Need more information for this problem. But here are some things to check: is the accelerator cable working properly, can you rev the engine by hand under the hood, can you hear the electric fuel pump working, This might be a fuel pressure problem. jeb

Joe here about the Volvo s70 it doesn't pick up speed from take off picks up real slow even n park it Rev's up slow wen u press the gas still n rpms only go's to 3000

You need to have the car tested for a fault code that might explain this. Other issues that cause this are low fuel pressure, defective Mass Airflow sensor and lastly a plugged exhaust system causing excessive back pressure, the cause of that is a defective catalytic converter.

sounds like blown head gasket or cracked head or block letting coolant into the oil pan, check your oil to see if it's thick and light colored.

At this point based on what you have going on here I think the transmission may be going out and also has an electrical issue you need a hand on professional to look into this problem.

I am told that the catalytic converter is restricted my car drives but does not pick up speed like a normal car it drives really slow

if you have been told that you have a bad catalitic converter, then you most likely have to replace it. they can be expensive though!

Same thing it rattles when the a/c is on or when I'm going slow

when you turn on the ac in your car it slows the engine down that much more and things under the hood will react to this slow engine rpm differance. does the rattle stop when you pick up speed , if it does you may want to get the idle checked on your car some times you can correct this problem with this answer. if your in a real nhot area the ac pump has to word that much harder to compensate for the heat

Power steering problem when moving slow or rpm drop

no it is the power steering pump. the pump is worn so at low rpm or low speeds it is real tough to steer. but when the rpm is picked up the steering gets easier.

Also check belt tension but at high rpm speeds the belt would slip and squel real loud. so i would point the problem to the power steering pump.

hope this fixs ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
