The Pontiac Dealer said it was the turn signal switch, parts and labor $450. Took my fist and banged on the dashboard by the hazard switch and now the signals work again. I knew not to trust the dealer!

The flasher is behind the hazard button which requires taking the dash apart but the old fist did the trick for now.

never trust the dealer always get a second opinion first it is probably the flasher when it quits you will have to replace it but the dash cover should have clips and screws its not hard to take it apart

1999 pontiac grand am blikers dont work all the time

This is a problem with the hazard switch. It is the hazard and turn signal switch flasher module. These are high priced. I would try a junk/salvage yard first. They cost about $80.00 around here for new.

I have a 1995 grand prix Blinkers dont work but, other lights do.

First check turn signal fuse and relay if, they are good then try pressing on and off the hazard switch while turning the signal switch on.If signals start to work replace hazard switch. If hazard switch is good then replace turn signal switch.

1999 pontiac grand am - loud buzzing sound when I turn on the turn signal. Turn signal lights are lit (on) but steady, they do not flash. If its the turn signal switch - where is it located?

ON THIS YEAR 2 THINGS ARE USUALLY THE PROBLEM. THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH OR THE HAZARD SWITCH. IT DOESNT HAVE A FLASHER. THE FLASHER IS INTEGRATED IN THE HAZARD SWITCH. ITS ABOUT 20 BUCKS FROM THE DEALER. THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH HAS TO BE REPLACED AS AN ASSEMBLY. THE COLUMN COVERS HAVE TO COME OFF AND THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED

the hazard button is the relay for both the turn signals and the hazards. you have to remove the trim panel that the hazard switch and radio are in pull it out of the back of that panel

Where is my turn signal switch or the flasher on

The turn signal switch is in the column, at the end of the turn signal lever. The flasher is integrated with the Hazard switch. The hazard/turn signal flasher is common to go bad.
