Question about 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
Blazer was warming up, suddenly shut down,, won't star back up. Seems like no fire or no fuel,, it just turns over. Batt gauge was way in the left side ,, makes you think its battery but motor turns over well. What about fuel pump,, is that in the fuel tank on these and how do I determine if its fuel pump?
I had this same problem about 2 months ago. My was the fuel pump. We hit the tank with rubber hammer and sure enough it fired right up. I opted to replace as I did not want to be stranded. Cost was $450 with towing, labor and parts.
Here is what I was told. Never let the gas tank get low on fuel, when the low fuel light comes on get gas. Having it go to low makes the pump failure triple. Not sure if that is true, but I will not take the chances anymore. Hope this additional information helps someone.

Fuel pump is in tank, have someone listen at the fuel door while key is turned on, should hear it running if not take rubber hammer and tap fuel tank to see if that starts the pump, also check fuses under hood for fuel pump and ecm b fuse, if fuse blown more than likely fuel pump, hope this helps
