Question about 2002 Nissan Pathfinder

Pathfinder blower problem

You seem to be the expert. Having a similar problem to a question you recently answered. 2002 Pathfinder with AUTO A/C options, digital display. Fan blower does not activate at any speed although I can increase and decrease the control. I still feel heat/air coming through the vents very low when it is on, but definitely not at the proper speed. Fuses inside the vehicle are okay. Not sure if there any fuses under the hood which deal with the blower. Any help is greatly appreciated ! Also, if you could advise where the part is located.

I would look at the blower motor itself. The heater circuit works, since you can adjust the speed of the fan. The blower motor is behind the glove box, right above your right foot, when you are sitting in the passenger seat. Turn your heater on speed 3 and tap the bottom of the blower motor (round piece about 4 inches in diamater at the bottom of the blower assembly is the motor itself) with a hammer. It may come on, but it may not. If it doesnt come on, then you will need to unplug it (2 wire plug) and check for power at the connector it self. Good luck and let me know what you find.

It should be located right on the slider that you use to select modes on the dash. You'll need to take the dash apart.

For the screeching noise you need to replace the blower motor and for the blower motor speed you need to replace the blower motor resistor.

There might be some heavy resistance with one of the wires leading to it. Have an electrician check it out.

Nissan Pathfinder Heater/AC goes off/on intermittenly

Most probably a motor going bad but it could also be the switch, the blower resistor or a bad connection. The easiest way I can tell you to isolate the problem is check for voltage a the blower motor when it is on but doesn't blow. If you have voltage all the way to the blower, then that is your problem. Hope this helps.

2002 nissan pathfinder LE heat/AC fan stays on highest speed all of the time

Could be one of 2 things. It could be blower motor resistor or blower motor amplifier. If you have AUTO AC feature/setup, than it will be the amlifier. If you have manual AC than I would look at the resistor, but sounds like you have AUTOAC system, so get the amlifier checked. Its behind the glove box screwed to the air box assembly. 2 screws and its out. Hope this helps. Good luck and let me know what you found.
