Question about 2001 Kia Sportage

2001 kia sportage wont start

The problem started when i was coming home one day and it started acting like it wasnt getting gas then it just died but it started back up a couple of times but did the same thing then it died and wouldnt start again it would act like it was going to turn over but nothing had it towed home and now it wont do anything no turning over lights nothing please help

Jumped time. If it runs ruff I would do that too much, you could bend a value.

Fairly common problem, you just need a new timing belt.

Most mechanic shops would be able to check the fuel pressure coming from your fuel pump. Before you do that, try replacing your fuel filter. If your fuel filter has gotten clogged, there may be enough resistance to kill the motor. It is possible that you have some other obstruction in your fuel system, like a clogged fuel line that will also cause this problem.

yes your timing belt is broken it causes no valve damage or push rod they break at or just over 102000 miles easy fix dont take it to the dealer they tried to charge me 1400 dollars did my self in an hour and half using kias repair web site they walk you through the whole process

wow- ok you could have the following timing belt issue- or wet wires flooded-etc.Turns over but will not start yes?
