Question about 1997 Dodge Stratus

1997 stratus starting problems

I have a 1997 stratus 6cyl.

I have had this problem 1 year ago as well

I put a brand new battery in 1 week ago. My problem is that periodically, my car won’t start. When I turn the key, it sounds like there is plenty of juice but just won’t start. Which everyone who is around says it sounds like it is starving for fuel.

However, if you jump start it. It starts right up.

I never know when it will occur. And I sometimes go weeks without it happening again.

Any thoughts.

Question would be, is the battery dead or almost dead when you jump it?

This could the problem with battery getting drain even if your car is parked , this could the problem in the wiring or the grounding in the car ,first check if any lights or the cd player has the power even if the car is parked ............................

P0734 & P0715 DTC

P0715 IS INPUT SPEED SENSOR ERROR AND P0734 IS GEAR RAIO ERROR IN 4TH..I WOULD TRY REPLACING THE INPUT SENSOR FIRST..LOCATED IN FRONT OF TRANS ABOVE SOLENOID PACK..CLOSET ONE TO THE ENGINE..SCREWS INTO TRANS..ABOUT 40 BUCKS..DISCONNECT BATTERY WHILE REPLACING,OR IF YOU HAVE SCANNER,CLEAR CODES AND QUICKLEARN TCM..THESE ARE A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM

New battery dead in 1 week.

It sounds like the problem is the voltage regulator. I would check that out first. Hope this helped.

Replacing battery under wheel well??

They say you do not have to remove the wheel, but I tried and had no luck so I just went ahead and removed the wheel, it gives you more room to work with when pulling the old battery out and putting a new one in.
