Question about 1989 Jeep Wrangler

Wont start I just bought a 1989 jeep from my grandfather a year ago it ran fine the just wouldnt start, it will turn over but wont start I replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, and the radiator. I drove it without a air filter for 4 days the put in a new one but it still wont start.

Truck ran fine monday and tuesday night...went to start it after we had dinner and it wont start turned over fine couldnt hear fuel pump....waited til weds night and it started just fine ..drove it today...


had a 2000 blazer 4.3 wouldnt start in really cold enviroment..... ended up being the FUEL PUMP RELAY.... it still running good... bout every ther day or so... but it acted like your truck

1989 Jeep Wrangler Standard wont start


You have to check if this is fuel or spark related. You HAVE to put a filter in the system or the fuel injectors will get clogged. Check for spark first. If you have a good spark at the plugs, then your problem may be fuel related. If uou don't have any spark, then the problem could be a bad crank sensor.

1988 Jeep Wrangler wont start. I dont have any spark? I recently replaced the gas tank and may have possibly ran the fuel pump out of gas. But I can hear the fuel pump running it just seems to be making...


Try your camshaft possition sensor. If it is the same as my problem I just had to replace that and it started right up. Oh and mine was built into the distributer assembly. Take off cap and pin it's the plastic thing at the bottom. Should just pop out and you have to go to the dealer to get the part. Hopefully this helps!
