Check your cv (constant velocity joint) , It may have a big clearance which is the source of the noise when turning left or right and when 4wd is engage. Juts like front wheel drive cars, if the cv joint is with clearance it will tend to sound in the left or right turns. It is not exactly clicking sound , nmore like knocking sound , low in pitch, but not heavy.

engaging 4wd at speed is not recommended as the syncro set up is for low speed operation only Using 4wd on hard surfaces especially with your tyres does not allow the wheels to slip and so you get torque wind up in the transmission. This prevents the gears from disengaging as there is excessive load on the teeth. To unload the wind up either drive on a grass/ gravel/ slippery surface or stop and allow the vehicle to run backwards. IT all amounts to driving technique and knowing when and where to engage 4wd. There are plenty of books /magazines that explain the damage that will be done to the vehicle running gear if run in 4wd for long periods on hard surface roads.
Two faults here ,one is the drive shaft universal on the end of the drive shaft and the other noise ? well could be anything and without a good look and a wiggle with a 4ft crow bar i honestly couldnt say
Sounds like it could be a front hub slipping or the front to back friction differential. Jack up all 4 wheel on good solid jack stands or something safe, and listen for the source of the noise with a hose. A slipping hub will be from one of the fronts, while the differential would be in the transfer box. Check fluid levels while you are at it.
Possibly. Could also be wheel bearing, brake pad, or other component. Isolate the noise, if you can, by driving slowly and turning left and right, seeing if the noise changes in either direction. A noise that gets louder indicated a problem with the OPPOSITE side or outside components on the turn, as they have to turn slightly faster.
CV joints usually make horribly loud grinding sounds. See if the sound is worse when 4WD is engaged or goes away. It is also possible that the auto-locking hub could be a problem. The hubs were a large problem in the early days of the product.
