What's your question?here my suzuki carry stop off and soon malfunction indicator starts

We don't have CARRY here, in usa.
but gas engines are well, gas.
no year, car, how can we help lacking year and engine ??
displacement. cant. if savvy the country you are in is 10x better.!!!
my guess, is G16" engine? wild wild guess.
if car is real new M15?
my 2nd guess is you mean the cars engine stalls.
and then the CEL lamp glows, well all do stalled, that is self test.
but if the CEL glows running that means :
1;get car serviced. the operators guide tells you that ,
2: or if DIY person you scan it to see what's up, this is for all modern cars, you must scan them all, or its just wild gue$$

my guess is car has never had a tuneup in the last decade.
this is the #1 all time reason for misfire and stalls. bar none.
100 years, running.

here is the wiki on CARRY
see why we have not a clue as to what a CARRY is , world wide.
its obvious.

this part time 4WD? option>?
are you on ICE, snow, dirt or pavement.
part time is not for pavement free of ice, you know that?

only AWD works on non iced pavement.

2000 suzuki jimny transmission not moving in gear engin reve up

Hi, my car does not change gear during driving. I am told the transmission is stuck in 3rd gear. Even when taking off from a complete stop, I have to rev the engine before the car moves. Sometimes after a long drive the engine would switch off and only start after a 10 minute break. What could be the problem?

Hi On driving a Suzuki Vitara JLX 96 P Reg

Sounds like a clutch problem to me.
So, with the engine off, can you select all gears? If yes, your gearbox is probably OK.
And now with the engine idling, can you select any gears with out crunching? If this is difficult, then try this next test in an area where movement forward or backwards won't be a problem.
With the engine OFF, foot ON the clutch, the handbrake OFF, and in 1st gear, start the car. BE READY TO TURN IT OFF.
If the car moved forward as you cranked the engine, then your clutch is not adjusted properly or has worn out. That is more-than-likely the smell you got before - burnt clutch disc from it slipping.
You can drive it, but every time you want to start off, you'll have to turn the engine off, select 1st then start the engine. Accelerate slowly, making sure the revs don't rise faster that you're speeding up, and change gear by judging engine revs between gears.
Don't keep driving it as it is, as you WILL have gearbox problems if you don't fix the clutch.

Won't go into gear. Like it's stuck in neutral .Started off as difficult to shift when stopped about 20 min. later lost all gears while shifting from 2nd to 3rd.

Sounds like a clutch-related problem. To see if it is, firstly get the car in an area where it could move forwards or backwards a bit without hitting anything. I'm going to assume now that you can select all the gears just like normal when the engine is off. If you can't, then the problem is with the gearbox linkage or the gearbox itself. Then, with the engine stopped, select 1st gear and put your foot on the clutch and then start the engine. If the car attempts to drive off or the starter motor is driving the car, then the clutch cable requires checking or adjusting, or your clutch has worn out. A worn clutch won't allow you to change gears with the engine running. You may be able to tighten the clutch cable a bit to get a temporary fix, but think about replacing the clutch now.

Started having trouble getting it into gear while stopped. Would have to rev up engine a bit and play the shifter in. About 20 min. later while shifting from 2nd to 3rd had no gears . now it won't find any...

Sounds like your cluch has worn out. Can you select gears normally when the engine is off? If you can, then maybe you could check the clutch cable adjustment. That may fix the problem. If not, with the car in an area away from other cars and buildings, select a gear with the engine off, and with your foot on the clutch, start the car. If the car starts and feels like it wants to drive off (with your foot still on the clutch), then the clutch is not disengaging the engine from the gearbox. Gearbox removal time unfortunately.
