It's not faulty wirering it is a problem with abs fluid distrubution

abs works by distributing the needed amount of fluid to the brakes .. when turning corners and stopping the fluid is dispersed unevenly. more fluid to the side that needs it more and less to the others. i had similar problem and when i went over serious bumps while braking or braked really hard they would fail. it may seem to brake fine but i would take it to a pro ,

Renault trafic wont start...engine warning light flashing

The light and the word stop should be sending you a clear message . The engine hard starting and sluggish is also sending a message and if you do not heed the message and have the fault codes read and the problem fixed then the next message may be replace the engine or gear box . The light is there --not to be an annoyance ---but to inform you that something drastic is going wrong and it needs urgent attention.

The interior brake light on my console is illuminated.

The brake warning light tells the driver the parking brake is on, or the fluid in the hydraulic system is low.
If the parking brake is not on, and the fluid level is ok, it could be the parking brake switch or the fluid level sensor.

Why when i push the brake and the hazard lights are on do they quit flashing.

that is the way they work and it is ok. if you are towing a vehicle lets say and the flashers are on you are letting people know to be cautious around you and the vehicle, If you need to stop and the flashers are flashing then the vehicle behind you doesn't know to stop and WHAM ! the brake light overrides the flashers for this reason,to warn others behind you that you are stopping.

The brake light on dash comes on when going around corner...I put 15" wheels on it....as I drive it used to go off,but as soon as i go around another corner back on it comes

If it's the red light, it means you are low on brake fluid. Usually because the brakes are so worn that the fluid is all in the calipers. Check the front brakes for wear.

A light is flashing. It has a ( ! ) and what looks like a star around it. What does it mean??

This is the brake warning light........is it a red color......what it means is that

Get your brakes checked!

The red brake light on the dash serves two purposes: 1) to tell you the parking brake is set, and, if the parking brake is not set, then 2) to tell you that your brake system is not up to snuff--could be as simple as low brake fluid--could be something more serious.

There is a light on my dash it is a ! with a bunch of lines all around it. what is that light for?

According to the 2003 Ford TaurusOwners Manual:

"Brake system warning light: To confirm the brake system warning light is functional, it will
momentarily illuminate when the ignition is turned to the ON position when the engine is not running, or in a position between ON and START,
or by applying the parking brake when the ignition is turned to the ON position. If the brake system warning light does not illuminate at this
time, seek service immediately from your dealership. Illumination after releasing the parking brake indicates low brake fluid level and the brake
system should be inspected immediately by your servicing dealership."

In short, as your brake linings (pads and shoes) wear out, the brake fluid level in the reservoir goes down.

You're probably right at the point where the level gets low enough to turn on the warning only under specific circumstances (cornering? hard braking?).

You can top off the fluid for the short term, but you should have your brakes inspected fairly soon.

Low mileage 1999 saturn brakes squeek and make unbearable loud noise

When something makes that much noise, it deserves attention.

Aside from the noise (which must have you gritting your teeth at every red light), Describe how the brakes are behaving.
  • Does it still stop normally? Less responsive?
  • Does it require more pedal to stop?
  • Does it pull to one side?
  • Any strange odors? Hot smells?
Something to think about:
A car that does not Go, is inconvenient.
A car that does not Stop, is dangerous.

If the brakes are still functioning normally, chances are the pads need to be replaced. A quick, relatively inexpensive process. Barring complications, around $20.00 for parts, an hour or less labor.

For your own safety, I strongly recommend you address this problem a soon as possible. The noise is a warning sign.

Hope this helps, be safe.
