Re: 01 gmc yukon stalls while driving/acts like not...
Hey guy I had the same problem with my 2001 Yukon XL. I took it to the dealer and they charged me an arm and a leg for a diag which found nothing. I had the fuel filter changed which fixed the problem for a few months but the problem came back. I have a new car now and drive that most of the time. I came across a site and this guy said to clean the Throttle Body like this link says, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnWiOrnVk28a and also clean the mass air flow sensor as this link says, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPT8rL0noYg I also changed out the air filter. Fixed my problem, the engine no longer stalls and that idle flux has stopped also. I hope this helps you and anyone else who is having this problem.

Are you getting any mil codes like P0300 or 1 2 3 4 5 with to Po300 My best geuss would be the fuel pump those codes are misfire codes . Dose it do it say going up hill when your on the gas . The fuel pumps on these things last 10 years at best and its a pain the replace them the gastank has to be removed . Go to the auto parts store and if the service engine light _MIL light is on they will read it for free . It could be EGR or oxygen sensors or the catylict converter . But most likely its the fuel pump good luck
Hello. The GMC Sierra has an electric fuel pump so you should ensure that its fuses and relays are working before checking it. You may need to clean your fuel pump or replace it if your gas tank is not empty, but your vehicle has difficulty getting fuel. The GMC Sierra comes in a variety of styles and trim levels that can affect the replacement fuel pump you choose.
