2001 jeep grand cherokee transmission revving-codes p1757, p1762

I had my car checked and the dignostics said I needed a new pressure switch in my transmission, and we changed that but it still is not going into gear and the engine makes a loud revving sound, like it is getting stuck from gear to gear, or that it skips a gear. We checked the fluid and the pan was good- no metal shavings..and now it continues to do the same thing but is driveable, a new code P1757 AND P1762 came up- can anyone help me who knows what those codes mean?

Diagnostic code P1782

P1782 DODGE - 2/4-OD Pressure Switch Circuit Possible causes of this code are: - Low transmission fluid level (check level hot transmission only)
- Dirty transmission fluid (has transmission been serivced at least every 60,000 miles, fluid and new filter?)
- Faulty 2/4-OD Pressure Switch
- 2/4-OD Pressure switch poor electrical connection
- 2/4-OD Pressure switch circuit is open or shorted
P1782 DODGE Description The pressure 2/4-OD Pressure Switch is part of the pressure switch of the transmission. The pressure switch are located in the solenoid assembly. The switch provide input information to the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The switch will inform to the TCM is pressure exist in a specified hydraulic circuit. the TCM uses this information to verified that the solenoids are working or not.

Trammisson presure switch

Hello, do you mean transmission pressure switch for automatic transmission? If it is an automatic ****** then there are pressure switches but there aren't called pressure switches but sensor switches. The feed real time information to the automatic transmission controller. And you are thinking I can change these sensors. No, there located under the valve body of the transmission.
Professional auto transmission technician needs to be the one to replace them. GB...stewbsion

My buick century 1991 has dignostic problem code 27

Code 27 refers to a problem with the "mid gear switch" located inside the transmission. Now I would start checking the connector going to the transmission for good clean contacts. Quick check to see if it's the ECM or the wires: disconnect connector at transmission. Using a test light, check terminal "C" and "B" for 12VDC, be sure ignition switch is "ON", engine "OFF". If yes on both, look at tranny for problem. If no on both, check wires at ECM and in between. If no on one and yes on the other, do the same. If all wires, connectors and grounds check out, replace ECM.

I am also seeing that both these codes refer to circuit that get power through the brake switch. I think I would start there, are your brake light working? Are all your fuses okay?

1994 volvo has no reverse and maybe neutral

YOU COULD HAVE FAULTY TRANSMISSION NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH BUT CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL MAKE SURE NOT LOW .IF ITS BEEN A LONG TIME. CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER.TRANSMISSION NEED MORE FLUID IN REVERSE BECAUSE NEED HIGHER FLUID PRESSURE TO APPLY REVERSE CLUTCH AND GEARS.

After my check engine light came on my father in law plugged his diagnostic tool on it and it came back ''trouble code p1810 trans. fluid pressure valve position switch circuit malfunction i need to know...

Hello! P1810 indicates a malfunction with the pressure switch assembly in the transmission. When this code sets, the only action taken is the Service Engine Soon light, and slightly higher pressures, which may result in firmer shifts. Immediate damage will not result, but don't neglect it!!!
Its common for these to go bad, and GM released an updated switch. The bulletin will follow my text. If you decide to get a new one yourself, current parts inventory contains the updated part so you don't have to worry about getting the old style.

Subject: Service Engine Soon (SES) Light Illuminates, DTC P1810 Set (Replace TFP Switch Assembly)

Condition
Some customers may comment about the Service Engine Soon light illuminating. The PCM will have stored a Diagnostic Trouble Code P1810, Transmission Fluid Pressure Manual Valve Position (TFP) Switch assembly circuit malfunction.
Cause
Debris from aluminum shavings, bronze material, and certain clutch material may cause the pressure switches in the TFP switch assembly to stick or electrically short out.
Correction
A new TFP switch assembly with a plastic shield has been released. The plastic shield is designed to protect the pressure switch from debris. This improvement will reduce the likelihood of a DTC P1810. This product change went into production on April 8, 1999 (Julian date 098). The existing TFP switch assembly remains relatively unchanged except for the addition of the new shield, creating a new part number for the assembly. The shield fits over the existing TFP switch assembly

Transmission not responding like it should or something else

It's not pumping up pressure; the trans needs a rebuild and you need a different shop. Hunt around for firm estimates on a complete rebuild with a warranty.
