Question about 2000 Ford Mustang
I have a 2000 Ford Mustang 3.8L V6. I'm have trouble with my rear beakes. Every few years my rear brakes cease up and makes a loud grinding noise.
Is the system defected?
any assistance would be great.
Generaly speaking, if you're getting about 2 years out of a set of pads, then you're doing ok. The grinding you're hearing is the pad material wearing off to the metal backing of the pad due to normal wear. Also make sure you do a caliper service and clean and lube the slide pins, as well as the saddle where the pads sit in the bracket.
