Wipers don't turn off

When the vehicle key is on or running the wipers are on ,they wont turn off. Inall settings running at regular speed even in off possition

    When the ignition is on the windshield wipers will not turn off no matter what position the switch is in.

There may be a short in your wiring harness. There also may be a problem with the fuse.

Windshield wipers wont turn off, changed switch, motor, and even got a different steering column still runs as soon as you turn the key.


the fault must be in the wiring, you hav'nt said vehicle etc , have you replaced the relay as well , usully under bonnet fuse box but as dont know vehicle can't be specific

The whipers on my 93 jeep wrangler wont work


when they do not work turn the key to the run position, the vehicle does not need to be running, and the wipers set to high speed whack the wiper motor with the handle end of a large screwdriver. if the motor starts to work replace it.

I have a 95 buick lesabre and the wipers wont seat properly/ When on any speed they are all the same speed. I have changed the motor out already and I am at a loss.. are there any solutions out there

1998 olds silhouette mini van, passenger side wiper arm over extends off the wind shield when turned on. When this happens wipers seem to be running at maximum speed or beyond really hammering the stops....


when the wipers are off make sure the driver and passenger wipers are at same level on windshield
you can adjust them so they don't go off the edge or hit the bottom.
if they are hitting off the edge and hitting the bottom as well you need to check the linkage since it may be worn out.

DISCONNECT WIRING FROM THE WIPER CONTROL SWITCH.IF WIPERS STOP REPLACE SWITCH IF THE WIPERS KEEP RUNNING YOU HAVE A DEFECTIVE LIMIT SWITCH IN THE MOTOR.YOU HAVE TO REPLACE WIPER MOTOR.

Wipers work when I manually move the stick, settings dont work


Turn the wipers on,and when they stop,peck on the wiper motor and see if they will come on.If they do replace the wiper motor,If they do not,replace the wiper switch.
