U should be able to Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. The hose will be clamped onto the thermostat housing, remove hose clamp, remove hose, remove 2 bolts attaching housing to engine, inside is your thermostat, be sure to install new one in same direction, ( engine will overheat if it's installed backwards. Let me know how u do.

94 accord ex still running hot after new water pump, hoses, termostat

Is it actually overheating or is your gauge just saying it is, did you measure the water temp to see if you have a bad temp sensor?
Have you started it from cold with the radiator cap off and let it warm up till water starts circulating so you can see that it actually is? New thermostat in backwards could cause it also.

My 1993 Honda Accord is hard to start, when it does start, the motor surges to the point it nearly dies. It will surge and then it starts running normal. This worsens when the weather is hot. I have...

It sounds very much like the Engine Management Temp Sensor is dormant.

The EMTS acts as the choke and aids starting, they are quite cheap and easy to replace.

The item is located in the thermostat housing.

Car overheats got a theromstat how to replace it ita a 93 accord lx

the thermostat should be on the engine under a housing that connects the upper radiator hose to the motor. On most vehicles, you will need to take off the upper hose, have a small bucket to catch the radiator fluid, remove the two cover bolts, remove and take out your thermostat. make sure you use a new rubber seal on your new thermostat. also make sure the the spring end points toward the engine, re-assemble as you have taken apart. Good Luck!

Where is 'cold start valve'

but yourself a chiltons or haynes manual from an autoparts store. it's about 20 bucks and can answer ALOT of your questions as to where certain components are located on your vehicle. I would say it's on the thermostat housing or inthe intake manifold though. get a manual. It will do you justice.
