Question about 2001 Nissan Pathfinder

1 Answer

What's the name of my missing part?

I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE with a 3.5 ltr. Engine. I was doing some mainteneace and removed a valve that was mounted to the top of the Upper intake plenum. It was a 14 or 15mm hexbolt with a stem that attached to a hose as part of the vacuum system I assume. CAn you help me with the part name so I can make my truck run again?

Did it just have one large diameter hose (about 12mm OD) going to it? If it did, this is the vacuum feed to the brake master cylinder. If it had two smaller hoses and an electrical connector going to it this is your EVAP purge volume control solenoid valve.

Find cheap idle control valve for 01 Nissan Pathfinder

with Nissan do not use an aftermarket component like this it will cause problems. as far a cost it depends on what the shop door rate is and what they are going to charge you for the part. different places different prices. call around to get an idea.

1997 pathfinder se 4wd vg-33 motor just changed timing belt waterpump ect and now wont start

Does the engine turn over? If it does and seems to crank faster you may have miss timed the belt. Your okay if just a couple of teeth, if more engine damage will occur.

Engine noise

Sounds like a problem with the power valve actuator in the intake manifold collector. I would check with a Nissan dealer first and inquire of any recalls or service bulletins. Might save ya time & money.

Unintended acceleration when the brakes are applied 2001 pathfinder.

Hello and my name is john and i will be helping you to day.

Q.

Occasionally your 2001 pathfinder will accelerate when the brakes are applied. And there is a very loud squealing of the tires with the lunching of the car.

A.

Your pathfinder has a TPS sensor which is your throttle position sensor if this sensor is stuck or bad it will send a MSG to your computer saying that it's not getting enough fuel so it will compensate and cause your engine to rev unusually hi and causing your tire's to chirp also your apm's should jump while doing that you should se a big difference in your gas mileage as well.
