Loud banging noise right front wheel. shimmies ,can't drive over 25mph

I agree with the axle CV joint choice.
Could also be a brake or wheel bearing failure, but the CV joint is the most likely given the symptoms.

I have a very loud humming/howling noise under my feet when driving. I do no that I need a cv boot. Can that cause this loud noise?

A humming or howling can be cause by a dry, worn out wheel bearing. Also tires that aren't worn evenly across the contact surface of the tire will cause a wheel bearing like noise.

My 2001 Nissan Xterra has been acting strange lately. I thought it needed a wheel alignment because it's been veering to the right and steering wheel shimmies at certain speeds (55). I called my...

The shimmy sound slike you may need your tires balanced. as far as drifting or pulling. you should have the front end shakin down to see if anything is loose. Those trucks are pretty good in the suspension area. But there is no way for me to tell if somethijg is loose or what is making the noise. very hard to tell. Try to feel if the truck makes the noise while shifting gears or while coasting or accelerating and if you hear it or more of a feel and is in the floor board or towards the front or middle or rear. all those things will help figure out what is going on.

The car makes a howling noise while driving it

well did the noise start after the tires were rotated?could be choppy tires,,,if not ,i strongly think it sounds like a bad wheel bearing,,,,if you drive and while its making the noise turn left and right quick and see if the noise gets louder and which way turning makes it louder,,if you turn leftand it gets louder its usually the right wheels bearing as you are putting load on it, if it makes the noise louder while turning right its the left wheel bearing,,,got it

There is a loud "howling" type noise similar to blowing in the top of a bottle heard in the area of the throttle body/idle control module. The dealer replace the aftermarket air filter with a Honda filter...

It sounds like it is probably a vacuum leak. Have them do a smoke test with the vehicle off to check for a faulty gasket/hole in a hose somewhere.

Good luck

Front end noise - Basically really loud "howl" when driving

Try jacking your vehicle up and turning the tires. listen for any odd noise like a grinding sound, wheels hubs have been known to make a grinding noise when they go bad.

The shimmy is mostly likely being caused by one of two things either your alignment is out or one of your tires is bubbling or warped take it to Les Schwab and ask them to check it. I had the same probelm years ago when I had my Civic, for example I had driven on snow chains on bare ground for one too many miles and caused channels to form in the shape of my chains on the tire which caused a biggggggg shimmy. Live and learn I was only 16.
