You could have a bad connection somewhere. Possibly on the alternator. You also may have a bad ground somwhere. Hope this helps any

My car wont start

Check the battery for a charge and then check for a ground. Also check all battery connections for corrosion and make sure they are tight.

2000 lincoln ls charging broblem, will start and run with new battery but when battery goes dead, the car wont start, the alternator is brand new what the hell is wrong with this car?

Have you had the system checked to see if altenator is charging? A bad ground connection can cause a no charge or low charge condition.I would take car to parts store and have them test the whole system.

I changed battery on my 2000 Lincoln LS and the temperture lights are blinking

Disconnect your battery and make sure it has a full charge.
Low voltage can cause "crazy's"
Leave it unhooked for 30 minutes. This will let your ecm clear its brains out.
Reconnect your battery, and see if it straightens up.

On a seperate concern, make sure you have a battery that is specific fot an LS.
They require a battery with a vent hose connection to keep the hydrogen gas from the battery from collecting in the trunk, and causing an explosion.

Good Luck

2000 lincoln ls-check engine light is on+other electrical problem

One at a time
  • Check engine light is tripped by the #2 02 sensor. If the cat converter fails to clean up excess emmisions it turns on the light
  • Seat won't move- Chk for an obstruction in the tracks.
  • The alarm system-Watch itand wait for it to go off to make sure nothing is disturbing it. If it is motion sensitive, the cooking fan coming on can or may do it because of voltage chages when it kicks on.
  • Battery - check the charging voltage at the battery-- should be between 13.6 to 14.2 at an idle. This, if not righ, can cause the battery to not charge deep enough and can affect yor alsrm system. The battery needs to be 90% up to par to keep any electronics stable. Check for a draw on the batteryby removing rthe ground cable and watching for a spark when you touch it to the post. If there is a spark, something is on and and it needs to be located. Chances are it's the alarm system.
If your battery isn't charging correctly or is defective, The condition will affect the discharge rate. being it has no seep charge to start with.
