Yeah, we have the same problem. We had it on the driver side as well once. There are ways of pushing it back by force and resetting it. It sounds weird, but its not that hard of an issue to fix. Since doing that I haven't had another problem with that seat. I don't thing you need to take the car in or anything like that.

2002 Mini Copper - both passenger and drivers seat have the same problem, they both wont fix in position and are now constantly in recline position and wont go in upright position

my passenger seat is fixed in the upright position, how do i fix this???? PLEASE HELP

I had the same problem with the passenger seat on my 2003 Mini One. After reclining the passenger seat fully down (in order to transport a long rolled-up carpet), the seat back would no longer adjust & the passenger had to travel in an (almost) fully reclined position. The Mini distributor here in Singapore (there's only 1) claimed the only solution was to replace the entire seat-back at a cost of > US$300. After attempting to fix it on my own with no success, I finally paid to have it fixed. I requested the 'faulty' seat back frame, as evidence that they had actually swapped it out and that it wasn't just a 10cent faulty spring or something. Definitely not a well engineered seat.

Went out suddenly. Dealers wants $1200 for the part. I have tried to find one at a junkyard, no luck yet - I guess folks are doing the same thing. Also, I found a company that will rebuild the part for $220, but I have not talked with them yet (being Sunday).

    Any suggestions appreciated?

Also, does anyone know how difficult this is to remove and replace? Thanks in advance. :)

2006 gmc savana brake lights stay on

I have got a Suzuki Alto.
I been having problems lately. When ever it rains the car get flooded inside.
I keep getting a puddle of water by the back and front and under the seat of the passenger side of the feet.
It happen when the car is standing stationary at night and in the evening when it rains and by the morning there is a puddle of water inside. As attached in the picture.
The garage did a get wash but they could not find no leak and fixed the rim of the doors on the passenger side of the door too but it still keep happened and I went back the garage but they have done all the investigation but they still can't seem to find the problem for the water flooding inside of the car.
Can you please help in understanding what else could be the course of this problem.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Check the spring which puts tension on the lever to hold it in the lock position this may have dislodged itself or be broken or possibly bent.

Passenger seat won't lock in place

The adjusting lever for seat position is not locking into place. On the bottom of seat are runners on each side with holes in them that the adjusting lever tabs will lock in and hold seat in place. The seat slides on the runners if those tabs are raised. There is also a connecting wire or rod from the lever to the other side of seat so when lever is pulled up, tabs on both runners are raised for seat to slide. Something is keeping the tabs from locking into the holes on the runners in your car. Maybe the adjusting lever is broken somewhere, or the wire/rod came loose, or the lever is just dry and sticky and needs a shot of WD40 to loosen it up. If you can't see it and fix it with seat in place, then pull the seat back off for the repair. Good luck. Post back if my explanatiopn is not clear or you still need help.

Ait bag warning light on, plus passenger seat doesnt fold forward correctly and difficult to get back in the correct position after letting passengers into the rear. 2002 cooper. thanks

Regarding the passenger seat, to allow someone into the back seat, push the seat back lever DOWN. This will flip the back of the seat forward and allow the seat to slide forward. Simply push firmly on the seat back (no need to touch the lever) and it will return to its original position.

If you pull the seat back lever UP, you can adjust the recline angle of the seat back. Pulling the lever UP will also let you fold the seat and slide it forward, however, it will not return to its original position.

Sorry, cannot solve your airbag question.

I have a 2003 Ford Excursion Limited: I had the passenger side rear seat in the down position, which requires the bottom part of the seat to be lifted up against that back side of the front passenger...

I just encountered this problem with my 2000 Ford Excursion. After fighting with it for several hours I realized that the section of the seat that is facing up towards the roof of the vehicle was applying pressure to the back of the seat that was facing down and preventing the back of the seat from coming up when I pulled the lever. So, the next time I pushed the seat up that is facing the roof while I pulled the lever and this resovled my problem.

Find a good auto wrecker, and get a whole seat. A lot cheaper than that.

1999 volvo s80 passenger seat stuck in forward position

you will need to check to make sure no coins fell into the track and is jammed it if not you will need to replace the bottom frame of the seat possible with a junk yard one much cheaper than buying new and junkyard frames come complete.
