You will need to see the dealer on this, the Alternator is computer controlled and takes special testing to determine the cause of the problem with the charging system.

Tire noise on mercury mariner so so loud, is there a better tire than the continental contitrac 235x70?

Tires offer a number of trade-offs. Loud tires provide superior tread wear and a harsher ride, are loud. Soft tires provide a smooth ride, quiet operation and usually fewer miles.

Please go see your Goodyear or Firestone or Continental (or other major brand) tire professional and discuss your concerns with him or her to find the best tire for your application and driving style.

2005 Mercury Mariner Problem: A/C fan control only work when it's turn on to the fullest...how do I solve this problem

Most vehicles have a blower motor resistor located on the blower housing. It probably needs replacing. Check the wiring connector too. Sometimes a loose connection can melt or damage the connector.

Check battery light on, we just replaced the battery a couple months ago in my 05 mercury mariner.

The other four items that can cause a battery light to lite are

1) defective or failing alternator

2) aged belt tension

3) aged belt

4) poor cable contacts on battery and alternator.

It can be combination of any 4 items.

Do a quick inspection on the voltage output of the alternator and clean all cable connections ASAP.
