Power window mysteriously rolls itself down?

The driver side power window on my 2001 Hyundai XG300L mysteriouslyrolls down on its own. This happens 10-12 times a day. I go out androll it up and within an hour or two, I look outside and the window isdown. Suggestions? What do I check?

My 2001 XG300 does exactly the same thing-seemingly more in warm weather though, & only once or twice per week!!  Mine has 86,000 miles on it.
What in the world is the problem???   Wire to the window shorting out against a 12 volt live wire somewhere in the harness as it expands due to warmth???

The cable on your regulator probably broke. It's a pretty easy fix once you get the part. but you have to remove door panel to be sure. good-day !

Ther is a green light and two button on the side of the drivers side door, these buttons control the window side mirror and seat memory. if you read the owners manual it will tell you how to set etch one. did you know that if you set the little buttons on the door right, when you put the car in reverse the side mirrors will look down so you can see the curb when parking the return to same position when you put it back in drive.

2001 Hyundai XG300L. I need to remove the drivers door panel. How is this done.

There are little round caps on your door panel. In the same color as the panel itself.
You can flip them out wity a small screwdriver and behind it there are screws.
Also in the part you grab when you close your from the inside you can see two bigger round caps.
Remove them to en loosen the screws. If all the screws are loose, you can lift up the panel and it wiil come off. ( I am from Holland so excuse my English)

For 2001 hyundai xg300l . what is the maximum

There is not a published spec in any manuals for this that I am aware of. However, 50 milliamp is considered to be the maximum that is allowable as per numerous conversations with Hyundai tech support I have had over the years.

can you hear the motor working? its possible the motor/regulator assembly has given up. have someone who knows audis' look at this and if the repair is too pricey given this joyous time of year(LOL) have them at least bypass the motor and prop or secure the window into place until the neccessary repairs acn be made. happy holidays.

The driver side window on my 2001 Passat won't roll up.

Pop out the switch on the door that has the issue, more than likely switch has gone bad and needs to be replaced. you will need to check it with a meter to see if power is getting to the switch and also to check when switch is activated if power goes through switch

This problem is very likely caused by the drivers side power window switch being defective, I have seen this very same problem in the shop more than once and the new master switch fixed it. here is the part number and price from www.Rockauto.com
AIRTEX Part # 1S3874-Left front Power Window Switch. Price $105.79
